Hows it going there in meebee land ? Anyways here's my story.

As Thanksgiving is coming up this week and the smell of turkey is brewing, I was busy arranging to go back home to Oklahoma to see the folks on Thursday for Thanksgiving. I cant wait to stuff myself with Turkey, mash, gravy, & cranberries. But obviously while there, I'm going to catchup with a few of my old friends, watch plenty of football, and drinks gallons of beer! So I thought I'd try out meebee.

I didn't have time at work to call around my old friends back home, so I sent a bunch of them a meebee invite to meetup. It only took me a few minutes, I guess the same amount of time as it would've taken me to call just one of them, so that saved me a lot of time. Some came back asking me WTF it was, but most clicked the smiley mark and so I've pretty much filled up my weekend catching up with most of my old friends, even a chick I used to date :-)

Friday 13th & 2012, what a combination !

Because meebee is all about saving TIME, the meebee team went to see the film premier "2012". What would you do if you had only 3 years left to live?

Awesome trailer, dissapointing film. (Unless you love the typical action films or Independance day). It lacked Emotion & Intellect, and even a good ending. Too simple, too predictable.
More importantly, the film didnt even mention the Mayan calendar facts, nor the prophets, and only touched on the Galactic alignment, so pretty low on intellectual stimulation & support for the whole 2012 predictions.

But the underlying theme is that in our lives, somehow TIME just slips by ... until its too late.
Afterall, eitherway we are ALL going to die one day, we just dont know when.
There's no point freaking out about it, but there is meaning in using the TIME we have left on earth to "LIVE" the life we really want before our time comes.

If you knew you had X amount of time left to live, would this help you live your life the way you always wanted to? The only problem is we dont know that, yet we waste so much time on unimportant things coz it feels like we have infinite time. What would you do if you had only 3 years left ? Meetup with all your great friends & family?

Sick of Phone-Tagging & Back 'n Forth Emailing?

I thought I'd share a few common SITUATIONS we ALL have, and where meebee will help save YOU TIME.

1) NO TIME FOR PHONE TAGGING OR CALLING ?:

We've all been in the situation where you're multi-tasking, busy as hell, and no time to "call" the person or people that you want to meetup with, whether that be business or pleasure.
You'll probably interupt them anyway, or they wont have their calendar in front of them to check, so it'll only lead to more calling. This could be many minutes & even take days to lock in.
Aargh! Phone tagging!

Perfect situation where meebee will help save you heaps of time ! And TIME 'is' MONEY.

2) SICK OF EMAILING BACK & FORTH ?:

Everyone uses email, and sure, there will always be situations where I'd recommend just emailing the person or people. Ie. DONT use meebee :) Yep thats right, I'm advising you not to use meebee for certain situations. Ex. Those that you know from experience will usually accept your first offer of a day/time/place to meetup with minimum fuss. But even with close friends its hard to arrange a time & place to meetup.

Most of the time, both sides exchange a number of emails trying to decide on a time & place that works best for both. Dating the same. I know one guy who was trying to hookup a date with a girl for over 3 months coz either the day/time was OK but not the place, or viceversa. Crazy! Poor bugger.

meebee saves both sides time so you can spend your time on more important stuff in life than just 'arranging' the meetup, even having more time to spend in the meetup or date as well!

TIP OF THE DAY - for 1st Time Users:

Today 3.11 we're finally making this blog public & you can post comments too. So feel free to look at past posts too & make comments. Warning!: Do not tell your friends about it or our swarm of swimming bees (bottom) will come after you ! :)) But you can try ! Anyway, to start off:

Hi all newbies, here's a Quick GET STARTED guide for First Time Users, to help you get cracking making meetings & dates in less than 20 seconds ! :)

Yep less than 20 sec ! Checkout the video "A meebee meeting in 20 sec" & TIPS OF THE DAY below:

MEETING in less than 20 seconds !:
After you've Signed up in seconds, Click START to make a meeting (1sec)

(STEP 1) Type in your friends email address (5s)
(STEP 2) Choose the When,Where,Why to meetup (10s)
(STEP 3) Type a MESSAGE to your friend & SUBMIT (4s)

DONE !

Now your friend get's your message to their email & just clicks on the link below your message. (Your friend does NOT have to be a meebee user).
They then just click on the SMILEY mark to ACCEPT your meeting, or the SAD mark to DENY.

OK, so for a first time user, take your time, 1min or 3min, whatever. It still beats phone-tagging, emails back & forth, etc to set up a time/place to meetup! Enjoy :)


TOP 3 TIPS:
Here are some tips after you've made your 1st meeting (or before):

#1 IMPORT CONTACTS
Just click on IMPORT Contacts from Email accounts (ex. Gmail, Hotmail, etc)

#2 GROUP THEM
Make GROUPS from your friends (ex. Gym friends, Work friends, Hot chicks/guys, whatever you like!) Or just divide them into FRIENDS (yellow) & BUSINESS (grey).

#3 ICONS
Use the ICONS instead of typing stuff ! (ex. beer, meet at home, party, etc)

Now give those fingers some exercise & set up some dates to meetup with friends ! :) ENJOY.
