The Art of Multi-Tasking

Americans now sending over 4 Billion Texts Daily

Believe it or not, that isn’t a type-o in our title. According to a recent report created by the CTIA, 740 Billion text messages were sent in the first half of 2009. This works out to over 4 billion text messages being sent each day! You can argue that people should stop texting and pick up a phone instead but this can be just as time consuming, if not worse. Also, if you’re anything like us and have friends all over the globe then it can get quite expensive. With these exorbitant numbers you have to question how this has become the preferred method of communication. It’s obviously not to due to saving time – 4 Billion texts daily comes with the hefty price tag of your valuable time each day. So what do we do? If you think we’re going to suggest using meebee…then you’re right. But come on, instead of wasting countless hours each week trying to meet with friends, sending and responding to texts that rarely result in getting a definite answer; you could be sending out 3 options at a time to multiple friends at once. Everyone uses email, and sure, there will always be situations where I'd recommend just emailing the person or people. Ie. DONT use meebee :) Yep thats right, I'm advising you not to use meebee for certain situations. Ex. Those that you know from experience will usually accept your first offer of a day/time/place to meetup with minimum fuss. But even with close friends its hard to arrange a time & place to meetup.

Most of the time, both sides exchange a number of emails trying to decide on a time & place that works best for both. Dating the same. I know one guy who was trying to hookup a date with a girl for over 3 months coz either the day/time was OK but not the place, or viceversa. Crazy! Poor bugger.

TIP OF THE DAY - for 1st Time Users:

Today 3.11 we're finally making this blog public & you can post comments too. So feel free to look at past posts too & make comments. Warning!: Do not tell your friends about it or our swarm of swimming bees (bottom) will come after you ! :)) But you can try ! Anyway, to start off:

Hi all newbies, here's a Quick GET STARTED guide for First Time Users, to help you get cracking making meetings & dates in less than 20 seconds ! :)

Yep less than 20 sec ! Checkout the video "A meebee meeting in 20 sec" & TIPS OF THE DAY below:

MEETING in less than 20 seconds !:
After you've Signed up in seconds, Click START to make a meeting (1sec)

(STEP 1) Type in your friends email address (5s)
(STEP 2) Choose the When,Where,Why to meetup (10s)
(STEP 3) Type a MESSAGE to your friend & SUBMIT (4s)

DONE !

Now your friend get's your message to their email & just clicks on the link below your message. (Your friend does NOT have to be a meebee user).
They then just click on the SMILEY mark to ACCEPT your meeting, or the SAD mark to DENY.

OK, so for a first time user, take your time, 1min or 3min, whatever. It still beats phone-tagging, emails back & forth, etc to set up a time/place to meetup! Enjoy :)


TOP 3 TIPS:
Here are some tips after you've made your 1st meeting (or before):

#1 IMPORT CONTACTS
Just click on IMPORT Contacts from Email accounts (ex. Gmail, Hotmail, etc)

#2 GROUP THEM
Make GROUPS from your friends (ex. Gym friends, Work friends, Hot chicks/guys, whatever you like!) Or just divide them into FRIENDS (yellow) & BUSINESS (grey).

#3 ICONS
Use the ICONS instead of typing stuff ! (ex. beer, meet at home, party, etc)

Now give those fingers some exercise & set up some dates to meetup with friends ! :) ENJOY.
