Meeting with Friends: Made Easy

Meeting up with your friends is one of the best parts of the holiday season. Unfortunately, with the added stress of finishing up a project at school or searching for that last minute gift, we often lose sight of what matters the most. Before you reach a state of panic this year, take a moment to breathe and think of ways you can save time. That’s precisely what we here at meebee hope to accomplish: to make your life easier by helping you save time. Instead of calling up all of your friends or sending and responding to a never ending plethora of texts, simply send out a meeting request through meebee. Choose where, when and who you want to meet with, click send and your job is done! Worried that they’ll forget? We’ve got you covered. Meebee will send out an automatic reminder via e-mail. What if they can't meet that day? We give you the option of sending out multiple request options so your friends can choose the time, date and location that works best. So go on and give a try. Your friends will thank you later!

Holiday Rush: A Time to Reflect

With the holiday rush approaching all too fast, we tend to forget one of the most important assets of this time of year - taking time to reflect on our lives. We gather around friends and family (some we haven't seen for quite a while) and talk about our lives - catching up on the recent past, what we're up to now and what we hope to do in the near future.
At this point, I think most of us realize that we haven't done all that we wanted to do and that, sadly, we may be a bit behind on our life plan. It's always later than you think!
Why is this the case? We seem to live fast - busy working, spending time with friends and family - and dealing with all the daily logistics that follow. And those are some of the biggest time-killers of all.
So here at the hive, the meebee team hopes that you stay organized and well-schedule, because we believe that this is a key step in creating more time for the good things in life, like spending quality time during the holidays.

Does Facebook Save Time or Waste it?

Here at meebee, we’re always thinking of new ways to manage your time effectively and make life easier, which recently sparked the debate at the hive – Does Facebook save time or waste it?

According to Facebook.com, there are currently more than 350 million people that actively use the site, 35 million users update their Facebook status daily and the average member spends at least 55 minutes a day on the site writing posts, checking e-mails, poking, etc.! The site has definitely helped connect people in more ways than one; however, with the time it takes to write an e-mail, create an event/meeting and write on your buddies wall, you would think that there’s a more efficient way of staying connected and saving time.

Let me ask you this: Do you find yourself thinking about Facebook while at work, school, sporting events, on a date etc..? If you write a post on someone’s wall... do you over analyze it and then think about the different reasons why they haven’t responded? Are you constantly trying to think of something clever and witty to say on your status during your free time?! Do your greatest fears include being de-friended, or god forbid, not having anyone write happy birthday on your wall?! Don’t worry you’re not alone.

meebee at LeWeb

As with any big event, meebee's there! We'll be buzzing around Paris for this year’s LeWeb, where over 2,000 participants from 46 countries come together for the #1 European internet event. This Wednesday and Thursday we’ll be rubbing elbows with all the web hot shots: Ethan Beard from Facebook, Jack Dorsey from Twitter, Chad Hurley from YouTube, John Ham from UStream and social media heavy-hitters Chris Brogan (New Marketing Labs) and Gary V (Wine Library TV) among others.

All these people are super busy, so we'll be in full flight talking about time-saving techniques. Hopefully they utilize meebee's time-saving ability so they can keep creating cool web products for us to enjoy.
